New Toggl Web Features Coming in Q2

Toggl is evolving faster and faster. Here’s four major improvements you can expect in the web app in the coming months.

Over the next few months we’ll be doing a lot of small fixes and enhancements. But in addition to the smaller stuff, we’ll be doing a number of big important updates. Consider this a rough roadmap:

The Big Stuff in Q2

1. Offline mode

This is the big one. Toggl’s offline capabilities are getting a major overhaul. What this means for you, is that you’ll soon be able to track your time offline without ever worrying about lost time entries!

2. Project Dashboard improvements

We were really happy to announce the Project Dashboard feature back in December, giving pro users the ability to break down their individual project reports into smaller segments. In Q2, we’ll be giving you even greater control over the feature.

In addition to task breakdowns and cost tracking, you’ll be able to track your remaining budget, see what your team members have been working on and how many sub tasks have been completed.

3. Undo for bulk edits

Ever used the bulk-edit feature and wished you didn’t? Soon you can undo some of the most destructive actions within the app. No more wasted time backtracking your checkboxes.

4. New payment options

If you don’t want to create a Paypal account or pay with your credit card for your Toggl Pro plan, you’ll soon have the option to pay via check or wire transfer. Sadly, no cash option though.

Sounds great! Do you guys need any help with this?

Bugs happen. If you find something that’s not working as it should be, please let us know at!

Also, we have an increasingly popular Chrome extension called the Toggl Button which works inside nearly 40 different tools, including Google Calendar, Gmail, Asana, Trello, Todoist etc.

Most of these integrations come from our users, so if you want to get your hands on Toggl’s inner workings, check out out  the Toggl repos on Github.

  1. Great news 🙂 I would love to see a “alarm” feature. I’m getting better at tracking time, but I often times go over the time I anticipated for it. It would be nice if I could set an alarm for 1 hour that will notify me visually and via audio. This way I can either keep going or stop, start something else and get back to that task later.

  2. Would love to see toggle work better with teamweek. At least a good two way sync would be great because your task and project set-up is miles ahead of the buggy teamweek backlog.

  3. Hey Alex,
Translations are coming, sadly not in Q2. However, it’s pretty high in our priorities list so stay tuned! 🙂
