After wading through a seemingly endless sea of unforeseeable technical difficulties, it’s finally here – the new Toggl blog!
We learned a few important lessons along the way, mostly about never expecting things to run smoothly when undertaking a technical project (or “told you so,” as our developers put it). We might do a post about it in the future. Or maybe we’ll just be glad that it’s done with and move on.
Okaaaay, why do a new blog though?
Because the old one was – for the lack of a better term – ugly. We figured that after all the bells and whistles of the new Toggl web, it’d be unfair to have a blog that looks like it was adopted (he was, but shh…).
What else is new?
Since we have your attention (hopefully still), we’d like to run an idea by you.
The global community of Toggl users is pretty diverse, and people use it to meet very different ends. These people also have experience that might be invaluable to other Togglers. We would very much like to mediate that experience between you all. For this reason, we’d like to start doing…
If you think you’ve found a really clever business solution that you think others might benefit from, we’d love to talk to you about it.
Or if you’d prefer to write up something on your own, we also accept…
2. Guest posts
We’ve put up a rather modest list of guidelines here. The main condition is that it would have to be of interest to other Togglers. We don’t want to restrict the range of topics too much, because from what we know so far, you guys are interested in a lot of different stuff.
And of course, we’ll be doing…
3. The regular shebang, with pictures
We’ll continue sharing our humble experience with you in our staff articles. Same goes for Toggl news, as we’ll announce all bigger product milestones in the blog.
Oh and we just got a Wacom in our mailbox, so we might quite possibly be doing something with that.
But all in good time.
For now, feel free to browse the new blog. We’ll continue tinkering with the technical details over the next couple of weeks.
If you have any suggestions for improvement, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
