We launched a few updates today.

The most important update is that old Nano is now gone and Nano Nova has taken its place. The new Nano acts quite like the old one and the biggest changes are in the design. If you were using the old Nano and have some questions about the new one, let us know by simply leaving a comment here or emailing to our support address.

Another noticeable update can be found on the tasks and report pages. We swapped the autocomplete text fields with an autocomplete/dropdown component. Now you can either select with your mouse or type to select the project you want.

And finally, there are many changes to the new Classic as well. Support for planned tasks and improved past task handling to name a few.

Cheers,

Toggl Team

Great news!

Today we launched a brand new version of our Nano timer:

The motivation behind the new Nano was to:

balance the design of the timer with the new administrative interface;

give the timer a more professional look;

make it clearer for first-time users;

add usability improvements like continuing a past task.

The overall personality of Nano has been preserved. There could be some bugs because the new Nano is still in the beta stage. You can try it out though and let us know how it feels. We’ll make adjustments to it based on your feedback.

Go ahead and try it out – select ‘Nano Nova’ as the default timer on ‘My settings’ page.

Your feedback is highly appreciated!

Hey!

We released a new version of Toggl. There are improvements with both of our timers: the Nano and the classic Timer. Namely now they support offline usage (available only on browsers that support HTML5 – Firefox 3.5 and Safari 4; and Toggl Widget).

That means if you track tasks while not connected to the Internet, the tasks won’t get lost. They will be posted to the server when you connect to the Internet again.

If you use the timer inside the Toggl web page to track time, then the time tracked offline will be kept as long as you have the browser window opened.

When you use the Toggl Widget, the time tracked while offline is preserved even when you close the widget.

If you already don’t use the widget, then:

NB! Offline mode is still in the beta stage. That means it mostly works but there might be some glitches.

Cheers,
