Great success with the upgrade!

You may have noticed a bit of server downtime this morning. That was intentional and allowed us to make larger upgrades.
Things that got done:

server software upgrade which will enhance Toggl‘s performance;
new design for the public page;
improved Basecamp import – better handling of huge imports;
“remember me” functionality for the Widget and the web;

Good news! The new timer widget has arrived!
It is available for Linux, Windows and Mac.

It will replace the Adobe AIR based widget. The technology that the new widget is built has better memory management and is more stable and faster to use.
The Linux installer is currently limited to Debian and Ubuntu. Other distributions will follow [...]

Today was another launchday. Here’s what got done:

1. The first new thing is planned tasks which is basically a way to categorize your tasks under a project and review each categories progress. You can set an estimate to every planned task and decide who has the access to track time under that planned task.

We just launched a new version of Toggl. Updates include:

new payment gateway besides PayPal for Premium subscriptions; no need to create a PayPal account anymore;
the user option “Close the running task when browser exits” changed to a “Warn when tracking time while the browser is closed”; that means if you leave a task [...]

Hey!
Yesterday was the day of another release.
This is what we did in the last two weeks:

fixed fee for projects (in addition to the hourly rate; Premium);
we started the new FAQ/manual section (http://www.toggl.com/public/faq);
tweaked/simplified some of the more complex forms (e.g. the project edit form);
project deletion;
total and estimated hours with a progress bar in the project list [...]
