If you’re still not able to login with your Google account then:
a) Enable the Google signin again with your gmail address and the password that Toggl sent you when you first created the account
b) If you don’t know the password, then reset it using your gmail address on this link – https://www.toggl.com/lost_passwords/new

Here is a list of things done:

• the weekly report is back; available from the reports – select the view icon that says “7″;
• the group by tasks view; available from the project view;
• the client filter;
• the no-tags filter;
• the possibility to add several tags to several tasks at a time;
• a redesigned dashboard with tracking information, latest blog posts and links to Toggl Desktop and iPhone applications.

We renamed the Toggl Widget to Toggl Desktop (v. 2.0). The new Toggl Desktop is a cross-platform application and will replace the old Toggl Desktop. The old one (which is for Windows only) will be discontinued. The old Toggl Desktop will remain functional, of course.

The new Toggl Desktop will take over all the functionality of the old one and there will be more. Soon, the new and very much improved autopilot will be available in the new Toggl Desktop. The new version of the application also has much improved offline handling.

Some notes on the installation/upgrade procedure:

• On Windows, the installer will first remove the old Toggl Desktop and the Widget (if you have them) and will then install the new version of the application.
• On Mac, it will be installed as a separate application and you’d have to remove the old Toggl Widget manually.
• On Linux, the Widget will be replaced by the Toggl Desktop automatically.

Timer Nano is the default timer with the new Toggl Desktop. You can switch to Timer Classic easily by right-clicking on the tray/dock icon.

There are also other updates:

1. Rounding options for the reports. Now you can control the behavior of the time rounding in reports. You can select whether to round up, round down or round to nearest. It’s a per workspace setting. The option is located under the workspace properties tab. NB! Premium workspaces only.



2. New project creation changes for Timer Nano. We removed the automatic new project creation. Now, instead of creating a new project immediately, the user has to confirm the action.



3. The Spanish translation is updated / improved. Many-many thanks goes to our fellow Toggl user Tito Morales from Mexico!

The release included a lot of small fixes. The main improvements are:

• better offline handling for the Widget;
• more stability for the Gmail gadget.

Attention Safari users!

The Gmail/iGoogle gadget does not work with default Safari settings. By default Safari does not allow third party cookies and you’ll get the “Sync failed. Check your connection!” message when you log in.

To use the Gmail/iGoogle gadget, you have to go to and select:

Safari -> Preferences -> Security -> Accept cookies -> Always

That way the Timer can place a cookie in your computer and log in.

New version launched. This release is mostly a maintenance release (a lot of fixes) but there is also one new thing:

Tag support for Timer Nano

If you click on the little tag icon on the top-right of the description box, a list with your tags will appear.

You can select the tags you want to apply to your task, or you can create a new one by writing the name of the new tag into the text box.

There was a bug when using the classic Timer with Google Chrome. It has now been fixed. If you are using Chrome please refresh your browser, just in case.

Namely, task stopping did not work. You could start a task nicely but when you tried to stop it, it would show like it did stop but in reality it kept running in the background.

The bug was not present with other browsers or the Widget.

In the last few days, the possibility to start a task by just clicking on it’s description was missing. We just launched a fix for it and now it’s working the way it did before.

Yesterday (19. Nov) we released the new version 1.2. During the upload of the new version some of your currently running tasks might not have been saved to our server. We found the reason why there was no error message for you and now it’s fixed.

From now on, if whatever reason is preventing the Timer to save your task, it will let you know.
