For all our users running Android: we have released a brand new application for your phone!
The timer is currently in beta stage and if you want to take a look at it, try it out and help us find bugs, then you can grab it here: download.toggl.com/android/toggl.apk
Cheers,
Toggl Team
UPDATE: The application does not support Google signin at the moment. In the meantime, while we implement support for it, you can use your Toggl password. It was sent to your inbox when you registered with your Google account.
UPDATE #2 @ July 7th: We uploaded a new version that includes landscape mode, Google login and a few bugfixes!
UPDATE #3 @ July 8th: Many bugfixes.
Oh hey wow – thank you! Will start testing it right now. Love Toggl!

Wooowoooooo
i’m gonna test it right now !
On my G1, the bottom of the client/project names is half cut off on the main view.
Looks pretty snazzy, otherwise!
I’ve always used my google login here, and it looks like there’s no option to do that with the app. Supplying my google email/pass doesn’t get me in. I’m sure this is a known issue?
Totally excited.
andrew, same here. I ONLY use my Google login
Wow I was waiting for this for ever
Great
oops spoke too soon, i also use google account, can that be linked some how.
Very cool guys – I’m trying it now – looks beautiful on my droid…
Hi, Google Account login is in the works, should arrive early next week.
In the meantime you can use your Toggl password. It was sent to your inbox when you registered with your Google account. I’ll also update the post with this information.
Looks good, a couple of bits of feedback, it would be handy to have a QR-Code on this page, linking to the download, so it can be downloaded directly to the handset by just scanning the code (eg http://qrcode.kaywa.com/img.php?s=6&d=http://download.toggl.com/android/toggl.apk )
Also, on my Motorola Milestone (the non-US Droid), I tend to use the hardware keyboard a lot more than I use the on-screen keyboard, so a landscape mode would be awesomesauce
@stillinbeta – We have uploaded a new version that should fix the client/project name issue. Do an uninstall and then a fresh install from the same address.
The app looks great! I seriously wish the the mac app was as functional and cool looking as the android app.
Kudos to the toggl team for putting this together. So far I have not encountered any bugs and things seem to work smoothly
Many thanks!
Using froyo 2.2
DELICIOUS!!! It looks fantastic!
Wooo-Hooo! Thansk. Looking forward to testing this.
Great app, thanks!
Initial issue: when turning off the timer for a task via the web, it doesn’t automatically sync with the app (even after pressing refresh)…the timer in the app continues to count. Then shortly after, the web timer will automatically start up again. Just like how the web timer and desktop timer work together (where toggling one automatically toggles the other on refresh), I would think the android app should work the same.
Do you have a Beta for any other smart phones like Blackberry?
@Bob – Currently no.
Really nice work, big thanks for making android app
Can we get a barcode link to download the updated beta more easily?
Worked great on 2.1, (Moto Droid) When I upgraded to 2.2 Froyo (still Moto Droid) I get a force quit when I try to login with my non google password. Perhaps this could be a bug with my unofficial 2.2 upgrade, but just thought I’d point it out.
Perfect, finally! Am testing it now, looks good — although I’m not a fan of the interface, some space is wasted now. Can’t it look like the new web Timer?
Also, it would be really handy to be able to set up some settings. Like how many times a day it syncs.
Otherwise, good work, anxious to see the final!
PS I’m on a HTC Desire w/ 2.1
Yay! I waited for this! Thanks so much!
Do you plan to add a home screen widget?
When I create a new task from the app, the task description is not saved !! It saves the task with empty description.
Hope you fix it.
Been using it for some days now, it’s just great. I’ve found no bugs or issues, however I agree that making it look like the web Timer, the iGoogle widget, or something more like that, would be awesome.
