In the mean time, I was able to download the .deb file and install it direct from here: http://ppa.launchpad.net/official-toggl/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/t/toggl-desktop/

any update on that new version of the toggl desktop? i’m not always online but i am usually working, so having offline mode is fairly key. thx.

Is there a workaround that will get aptitude to handle this for now (as opposed to downloading the “Toggl Desktop without offline mode” version)?

Added the ppa repository and it seems to be “broken” as apt-get update ignores the repositories.

[~]# apt-get update | grep togg
Ign http://ppa.launchpad.net/official-toggl/ppa/ubuntu/ maverick/main Translation-en
Ign http://ppa.launchpad.net/official-toggl/ppa/ubuntu/ maverick/main Translation-en_US

So apt-cache search toggl-desktop reveals nothing.

I could install using sudo apt-get install toggl-desktop in ubuntu 10.10, but when I run the application only appear blank. anyone know what is the problem?

On Ubuntu 10.10 when I run:
sudo aptitude install toggl-desktop

I get the error:
Couldn’t find any package whose name or description matched “toggl-desktop”

Hi! This is really great news. now i can finally remove the “chromium –app” workaround and use the real toggl desktop

i have also created a preliminary ebuild for gentoo linux, available in my overlay at http://git.xnull.de/gitweb/?p=overlay.git;a=tree;f=app-misc/toggl-desktop

if you could manage to upload source tarballs with each release i can even commit and maintain this ebuild in the main gentoo repository
