Big thanks to everybody for the passionate feedback.
We were quite excited by the new look of reporting, so the new version went up a bit too hastily. Several features that were supported are now gone.
Your pain has been heard, and at the moment we’re working on the following features:
* Weekly view
* Group tasks by clients and task name
* Add tags to multiple tasks simultaneously
* Several smaller things/bugfixes
These features will be launched next Wednesday. If you still feel that something is missing or should be different – don’t hesitate to let us know.
We messed up with this one, sorry for that!
1. On the reports page, when i choose “today” or “this week”, it used to show a left-arrow and right-arrow to move forward/backward a day or week. Please bring that functionality back. Now we have to keep choosing dates to look at individual days, which is veeeery inefficient.
2. Same on the tasks page. Please bring back the left/right arrows that allow moving forward/backward by a day.
For next redesign, please provide a link that says “Old Version” like gmail does, so in cases like this when functionality is being taken away the users can go back to the old version!!
Will viewing by tasks correctly sort on Client name in the new release. I can’t find any way to sort the report.
Hey guys,
I appreciate you working to bring back the useful reporting functions. I miss my “group by tasks” and weekly views!
Nevertheless, Toggl rocks and keep up the good work.
Kitty
Thanks for the update. Good to know you’re working on it. I need those “grouped by task” reports!!
The other minor glitch I’ve noticed is that if you set a specific time period, say, then click on the Down arrow next to “Report for…” there is no way to “hide” the drop-down again except by picking one of the standard options or re-entering the specific dates. It would be better if the drop-down disappeared when you click outside it.
Thanks for acknowledging the feedback. My wishlist:
* Add but don’t subtract. Do not remove reports or functionality that people use!!!
* Data is more important than eye candy. For example, I’d much rather see the actual hours logged per day than a graph. The graph doesn’t tell me the numbers I need.
* If you’re going to make dramatic changes to the UI, don’t break the workflow of existing users. For example, if you’re going to change the default reports that appear on a given page, allow users to bookmark or save the reports that they use to get stuff done.
Thanks
I could not agree with Harry Slaughter more:

I owe a big thank you to Toggl and their team. The new reports are great! Thanks for listening.
Sincerely,
John
