Yes, we use Basecamp and JIRA and so a time-tracking system that integrated with both would be very useful.

I’m beginning to use this feature, and so far I like that Toggl can import the named clients and projects I have in Basecamp. There are two things that I remain curious about.

1. Would it be possible in the future to develop a way for Toggl to import Basecamp To-Do Items and/or Milestones and list them as tasks under the imported clients and projects as well?

2. What exactly does Toggl export to Basecamp? Does it send information to populate Basecamp’s time tracking feature? I only have the basic level account in Basecamp, which doesn’t include time tracking. I tried to export task info just now but Toggl only showed me an unclassified error message with the option to retry.

Hi Geoffrey!
1. Yes, it could be done easily. We’ll add your idea to the possible future features list for discussion.
2. Yes, Toggl exports tasks. The Basecamp account needs to be the one with time tracking enabled. We’ll add a reasonable error message (when time tracking is not enabled) soon.

Thanks for the comments everybody, we appreciate it!

Hello,

Have just begun using Toggl and am very pleased with it, initially. I was very curious about To-Do/Milestone importing/syncing. I read the response to Geoffrey’s comments above, but wanted to second the request for that feature. If there was some way to integrate To-Do’s that have already been assigned to someone in Basecamp, that would be amazing!

Hi Guys,

Looking at this discussion, can anyone please send me steps to integrate JIRA with Basecamp?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Any update on toggl syncing To-Do lists and milestones? In our org everything is tasked in Basecamp and would like to track time in toggl. Hopefully this feature is coming soon.

Dylan, thank you for the suggestion. However, that would mean that to-do’s and milestones would have to implemented into Toggl too. That is something we won’t probably do, at least not in the near future, because we want to keep our focus on time tracking and not on project management features.

I’m having a really hard time linking the two together…would be good if there was some kind of drag drop sync up as I just can’t get it to work
